the girls behind the glow-up!

Kristen Hobbs Chavira is the co-founder of Two Birds Design Collective. She brings a diverse background in interior styling and design, home organization, and event production with over 20 years of experience creating spaces and experiences that feel elevated, functional, and effortlessly welcoming. Her work focuses on helping clients transform
properties into thoughtfully designed spaces that enhance everyday living, comfort, and functionality.
Kristen believes the design process should feel collaborative, approachable, and enjoyable, creating environments where clients feel relaxed, confident, and truly at home throughout the experience of working together.

As the daughter of an architect, Kristen inherited her love for design early in life. Growing up surrounded by architecture, construction, and creative problem-solving sparked a lifelong appreciation for how thoughtfully designed spaces can influence the way people feel and live. Having lived throughout the South — including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana,
Tennessee, and now back home in Florida, she developed a unique perspective on regional style, hospitality, and the importance of creating spaces that feel warm, welcoming, and deeply personal.

Kristen’s design perspective was further shaped while working alongside top interior designers in New Orleans, where she gained valuable experience in project management and client relations. Known for her strong communication skills and attention to detail, she excels at balancing design vision with logistics, timelines, and budgets while creating a seamless experience for clients and collaborators alike.

In addition to project management, Kristen’s background includes working alongside top interior designers in New Orleans, managing vacation rental properties in the French Quarter and across the country, and contributing behind the scenes to HGTV and A&E renovation and vacation rental shows such as Vacation Rental Potential. Her experience spans project management, styling, client and vendor coordination, and creating high-impact transformations coast to coast—always with a strong eye for detail and a budget-conscious approach.

A creative at heart, Kristen’s passions for travel, music, and interior design all influence her approach to creating spaces that feel personal, layered, and inviting. She believes music and design naturally work together to shape mood, energy, and emotional connection within a home or gathering space, while travel continually inspires her appreciation for different
cultures, styles, and ways people live and connect. Inspired by rhythm, storytelling, and atmosphere, she approaches each project with an eye for blending vintage charm with modern functionality in a way that feels relaxed, welcoming, and effortlessly lived in.

Delaina Bailey is the co-founder of Two Birds Design Collective and brings nearly 30 years of experience in interior styling, lighting and furniture design, visual merchandising, retail display, and curated living environments. As the founder of Moon Shine Worldwide, Inc., she spent years creating artistic and functional interiors that blended storytelling, texture, and everyday usability for clients all over the world. Her work has long centered on understanding the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabithow environments shape daily life, and how, in turn, the lives lived within them shape a home's character, atmosphere, and sense of meaning.

Her background includes more than three decades of experience in retail display, window dressing, visual merchandising, and spatial composition, developing a strong eye for balance, atmosphere, and visual impact. She also spent years managing and styling her own vacation rental properties, developing a practical understanding of hospitality, guest experience, durability, flow, and creating spaces that feel both remarkable and effortlessly comfortable.

Delaina’s approach to interiors is rooted in the belief that homes should feel curated rather than manufactured, expressive rather than overly polished, and beautiful without becoming fragile or impractical. She is especially drawn to layered, livable spaces that incorporate meaningful pieces, artwork, antiques, found objects, and personal collections in ways that honor memory, history, and individuality without creating clutter and visual noise. Her work embraces texture, patina, warmth, and relaxed refinement, resulting in interiors that feel approachable, resilient, and designed to be truly lived in.

Holding a master’s degree in rhetoric and composition, Delaina brings a strong sense of narrative, structure, and emotional awareness to her work. A lifelong artist and creative thinker, she has a natural ability to create visual order and intention while balancing aesthetics with the realities of everyday life. Her perspective is informed not only by professional experience but by an understanding of how spaces support people through transition, reinvention, caregiving, gathering, healing, and change.

Now based in St. Augustine, Delaina’s perspective has also been shaped by living throughout Texas — including Dallas, Houston, and Austin — as well as Los Angeles and Memphis, exposing her to a wide range of regional influences, architectural styles, and ways of living. Over the years, she has personally navigated major life transitions, including expanding and downsizing homes, guiding her daughter through the transition to college and independence, caregiving for aging parents, rebuilding after storm damage, and reimagining spaces through different phases of life. These experiences deepened her understanding of how homes — and the way people live within them — continually evolve through different seasons of life.

Whether refreshing a vacation rental, preparing a property for sale, helping clients rework a home after a major transition, or creating interiors that feel relaxed, distinctive, and authentic. Delaina approaches each project with creativity, resourcefulness, and the belief that the most meaningful spaces are the ones that feel honest, comfortable, and beautifully lived in.
